Answers to Some Frequently Asked Questions

We came last year. Should we come again?

Absolutely. Because this is an annual event the forum program is different to last year with a number of hot new topics. People who came last year can also attend new Masterclasses. And because many of the presenters will be new, even sessions covering similar topics to last year will be fresh and different. Plus of course, there is the magic of networking and learning from the people you meet, which is always a fresh and dynamic experience. In fact this is possibly one of the greatest benefits.

Who should we send?

People who work face to face with franchisees in the field including Field Managers, Franchise Business Consultants, Regional or State Managers, Compliance Managers, Field Marketing Managers and Training Managers. We recommend senior Operations Managers also attend to support their teams and stay connected with emerging trends. Marketing personnel will also find the content highly relevant and will gain fresh insights into the word of franchise operations.

How do I know this is going to be as good as you say?

Have a read of the comments on the testimonials page?

Sounds good, but can I just send one or two staff to check it out?

Not a great idea. We only run this Field Manager Summit once a year. If your team misses this one they’ll have to wait another 12 months.

How many people will be attending?

Each of the State Summits hold 100 people. The Masterclasses take up to 30 people in each. We expect these to each be full so we recommend you register immediately with your preferences.

How many Masterclasses can I attend?

You will be able to attend a selection of two, one in the morning and one in the afternoon. You will need to book into the Masterclasses of your choice when you register for the program. Please book now so you don't miss out on your preference.

How did you come up with the program?

We had a team of Operations Managers from several leading franchisors assist with the development of the Program. We also listened to the many franchisor operations people we work with on a daily basis. We know operations people are busy and like their learning to be practical and interactive. So we have designed this program to be engaging and relevant to the real life challenges they face. Finally we have built on what worked best in last years program.

Can we contribute to the content of the sessions?

We welcome practitioners to get involved as presenters and facilitators. Please contact Greg Nathan on gregnathan@franchiserelationships if you would like to put someone from your company forward for a panel, session facilitator or case study presenter.

What are the venues this year?

The venues for the Field Manager Summit 2010 are:

  • Sydney: Waterview, Sydney Olympic Park
  • Melbourne: Sebel & Citygate, Albert Park
  • Brisbane: Victoria Park Golf Complex, Herston

What time does the program start and finish on Day 1 and Day 2?

Day 1: Registration is at 8am. The program will commence promptly at 8.30am. Program finishes at 5.30pm then there will be a hour of networking where you can relax, enjoy a drink and a bite to eat and catch up on what you’ve got from the day with new colleagues.

Day 2: Registration is at 8.30am. The program will commence promptly at 9am. Program finishes at 5.30pm.

How can we get even more benefit from sending our team?

Like any course you send your people to, the rubber really hits the road when there is effective follow up. Too often money is spent on training with no impact when the team returns to the daily grind. We recommend you hold a meeting after the event to find out what people learnt and how they can apply it. We will also be following people up on their commitments and will be putting tips and outcomes from the event on our website to help keep the momentum alive.

We’re still thinking about it. What’s the latest we can register?

Registrations will be accepted up to the day before the event. However there is a good chance the event will be full well before then so we recommend you get cracking immediately.

In fact maybe you should stop reading this and call us now on 07 3510 9000.
