FEBRUARY 2012

In this inaugural “Bricks & Clicks” Forum held in Melbourne, FRI bought together over 65 senior franchisor executives and subject matter experts for a day to explore the impact of online retailing on franchise systems.

Over 18 separate learning sessions, keynote presentations, panel and round table discussions were held. We heard from industry experts on the current trends and emerging opportunities in online retailing, along with a variety of franchisors at various stages of their e-commerce journey.

OCTOBER 2011

Supporting field managers to be “Leaders in The Field”, FRI recently ran the 3rd Annual Field Manager Summit. Over 26 separate learning sessions, workshops and Master Classes were conducted over the 2-day event held in Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane. Sessions covered wide ranging topics including drivers for franchisee success, leadership through crisis, learning and development, social media, financial management, local area marketing, human resource strategies, and personal effectiveness. Over 280 field and operations managers came together to share, learn and continue the development of best practice in the franchising field.

FRI recently hosted the 3rd Annual Multi-Unit Summit in Melbourne. The Summit was an action-packed two days of interactive learning, attended by more than 170 multi-unit franchisees, franchisors and industry experts. Sessions focused on the critical success factors which drive profitable and sustainable multi-unit growth, as well as best practice between brands and emerging trends, both in Australia and the United States of America.

APRIL 2011 — NIAGARA FALLS, ONTARIO

Greg Nathan presented a keynote address to the Canadian Franchise Association in April 2011 where he outlined the six reasons why franchise relationships get strained. FEBRUARY 2011 — USA

At the 51st Annual IFA Convention at Las Vegas, Greg Nathan conducted the annual full day Franchise Relations Clinic.

This program equips participants with insights, skills and strategies to create a healthy franchise culture that has high levels of franchisee satisfaction and franchisor effectiveness.

Thirty enthusiastic franchisors and advisors participated in the program, with many saying it was the highight of the Convention for them.

Healthy franchise relations are the key to success in tough times. The 2010 Profitable Partnerships Bootcamps were personally led by Greg Nathan and organised by our friend Katrina at SPEAK! The bootcamp is a uniquely interactive experience which shows franchisors how to grow their franchise networks and boost franchisee satisfaction.

The franchise executives that attended the 2010 Bootcamps were thirsty for practical strategies on building profitable partnerships with their franchisees and came away with many fresh ideas.
